Before you read my story about an old classmate of mine I need to write something else of my chest. It has been a long time since I wrote something on this blog of mine. Sometimes I do share something about my spiritual life or journey through my personal accounts. But now this blog has it own Instagram account. Feel free to follow the hashtag @newsofpeace. You can also follow the hashtag #newsofpeace. By the way, anyone can use that term, so read carefully and with Godly wisdom.
Classmate back then
I little while ago I saw an old classmate in church. I was happy and shocked at the same time, because I knew that in the past he wasn’t a believer or interested in church stuff, religion or Jesus. After the church service he and his wife told me about his faith journey. Quite interesting. He didn’t know that I was a believer during high school. Auch. Of course, there was a time that I invited all my classmates to church. No one converted, so I was a little disappointed. But the following year, when we both came into the same class, I didn’t take the time to share the gospel. I was busy with my own stuff and disappointments I guess. It is about fifteen years ago, but now I do feel sorry.
“Lord, excuses me for not sharing the gospel in any kind of way (as far as I can remember) with my classmates back then. But I do feel thankful and grateful that this person came to know You anyway.”
Seeing this person made me emotional.
Still relevant
There are more stories of people I met or of people that I have heard of that converted in the past years. Miracles still happen today. People are still searching for an everlasting peace. I guess that all I wanted to say through this blog is that you shouldn’t give up sharing the gospel with people who you just met or know for quite a while. And if you’re not a believer: the news of peace is still relevant today, also for you.
As my Christian faith journey continues I hope that I will find the right words to share with non-believers around me, in a right or fitted way. I pray that my life, the things I do and say, honor the one I love, Jesus. If you want to connect, feel free to send me a message through my contact page.
Greetings,
Naomi
